My real name is Mike Vasquez and I’m the Program Director here at KIFM. One of the main reasons that I’m now hosting the morning show is so that you have a direct line to me with your thoughts, opinions and ideas. My parents taught me to never take anything for granted and I know that without your support of KIFM, we’d be playing another type of music on 98.1…maybe polka?! Seriously, your support of our station allows us to play the music we all love so much and I sincerely believe that your input is vital to our continued success.

I know that music is the number one reason that you listen to our station and we will continue to make the music our number one priority in the morning. We know that you also want a little information on your way to work such as news headlines, traffic updates, weather and tidbits of lifestyle information…but in moderation. You’re not going to hear any “obscene” humor and we’re not going to talk throughout the entire morning either! There are some great morning radio shows here in San Diego, but when you want lots of music and a positive, “feel good vibe”, we’ll be here for you. Thanks for the love…
