"Tayari Howard Day" in San Diego!


(San Diego, CA - July 31, 2007) - Today has been proclaimed William “Tayari” Howard Day in the city of San Diego. This honor was presented by Council President Pro Tem Tony Young this morning at The San Diego City Council Chambers office commemorating Tayari’s 35 years of broadcasting and community service.

Throughout his career, Tayari has helped raise over one million dollars for over 30 different non-profit organizations in San Diego. Over the last 21 years, he’s worked with several community street fairs including the Encanto Street Fair, the newly formed Imperial Fest in City Heights, The International Village Street Fair and he’s the co-founder of Operation K.I.D.S.
